Cheryl Barrett ARTIST

Cheryl grew up with an extended family full of artistic talent. Christmas and birthday presents often involved books, tools, or kits for drawing, sewing, or other artistic endeavours. While studying business in college and working as an accountant for several years, she always had a creative project of some kind on the go. In 2013 she rediscovered her passion for painting through an art journaling class, and is now pursuing both art and bookkeeping part-time.

Cheryl enjoys exploring colour, pattern, and texture through a variety of mediums, mainly acrylics, ink, and watercolour. She is largely self-taught, with the help of library books, the internet, and an occasional class at the local rec centre.
